The history of Gasti Maja, the inspiration behind the guest house, and the "host's story."

Gasti didn’t haunt people by scaring them or pulling pranks. Instead, he would appear at campfires or roadside warungs (food stalls), demanding a taste of whatever was being cooked. If the food was good, he left a gold coin. If it was bad, he would curse the chef to only burn water for the rest of their life.
