It analyzes how such platforms leverage YouTube’s algorithmic reach, Hindi vernacular appeal, and mobile monetization strategies (affiliate marketing, ad revenue, subscription locks) to create niche media economies. Using content analysis of 50 Hindi YouTube channels linked to mobile aggregator sites, the study finds that exclusivity claims function as audience retention tactics, while “.com” portals drive secondary data harvesting. The paper concludes that these hybrid models challenge traditional broadcasting regulations and offer new pathways for regional language creators—but also raise concerns about transparency and user exploitation.
