Excerpt: Adding and Managing Points in a Station Database Objective: Discover a BACnet device on your network and add an Analog Input point to your station. Step 1: Open the Nav File

Launch Niagara Workbench . Open your station by double-clicking it in the Station Selector . In the left panel, click the Nav File (tree view) to browse the station hierarchy.

Step 2: Discover Devices

Navigate to the Drivers folder, then your driver type (e.g., BACnetNetwork ). Right-click on BACnetNetwork and select Actions → Discover . In the Discovery dialog:

Set From Device Instance (e.g., 0 ) and To Device Instance (e.g., 4194303 ). Leave Timeout at default (5000 ms).

Inside the new device container, right-click the Points folder. Select New → BACnet Point → Analog Input . In the Property Sheet:
