It was the early 2000s when Dave, a then 25-year-old software engineer, first conceived the idea for WeAreHairy.com. At the time, he was going through a phase of self-acceptance, embracing his natural body hair in a world that seemed to shun it. Growing up, Dave had always been self-conscious about his hairy arms, legs, and chest. He would spend hours waxing, shaving, and plucking, trying to fit into societal beauty standards. However, as he matured, Dave began to question these norms.
